We are engaged now what?
Kayla, I know this doesn't answer the question you are asking, but I trust you will get all the details of your wedding in perfect order and have a wonderful wedding.

What I would do next, is to get this little book called "The Hard Questions". In it, you and your finance will answer questions about your future together. (what's your dream house/ how many children will you have/ how will you handle disclipline/etc. etc.)

You probably had thought of most of these in advance, however; there's a least a couple in there that you two haven't thought of. Figured that stuff out now, before you say "I do", so much easier.

Congrats on your engagement and have a fabulous wedding and life together!!
Reply:When I was starting out and though out my entire wedding planning I used TheKnot.com also getmarried.com is a new one that is really great too!
Reply:The first things to do to start your wedding planning is start a notebook write down your ideas, your wants, likes and dislikes. This will help you come up with a "theme" or common thread for your wedding. It will also help your wedding coordinator get a feel if you are l ooking for casual or more formal and so on, your dress will also give formal clues to this. Once you have picked a theme you are on to colours. Wedding dresses which are custom made sometimes take months to make once they are ordered, so get your dress ordered sooner rather than later to ensure you have time for fittings and such. With weddings there is a lot of planning and such initially, then it calms down and gets busy again right before the wedding.

The most important thing you need to do when planning your wedding is enjoy yourself and make sure you and your beloved spend time having fun. This can be and is often a very stressful time. Remember this is your wedding, and many people will have opinions, but do not let anyone pressure you into doing anything you don't want to do. Best wishes and Good luck

Hope that helps, Ame
Reply:Start looking at Bridal Magazines and going to Bridal Shows and online bridal websites to start off. Get an idea of what's ahead by talking to Vendors and Consultants.

I have found magazines and shows to be really helpful in getting ideas in every area of planning. They give you places in your area to check for Reception sites and Vendors and Bridal Shows.
Reply:You really don't have that much to do, other than what you've mentioned. Enjoy being engaged!
Reply:Go do some reading at theknot.com.

Follow their checklists.
Reply:You need to talk to your wedding coordinator and see what she will be taking care of, like cake, decorations, invitations, seating, and food. You need to start making a guest list and a budget as well.
Reply:Call the resort to schedule a tour, and get your day reserved a.s.a.p They go fast. The resort will help you with linens, and menu. Make sure you decide weather your doing an open bar or not. Ask about DJ services as well.
Reply:Make sure you reserve the resort. Look online about what it takes to get married, how long of a wait between applying for the license and getting the license and when it expires or if you have to wait a bit before using it. will you have to take any blood tests or any tests. all that jazz
Reply:Wait for the divorce.
