I'm on a like 200 dollar budget for my wedding i already no i'm decorating the reception site with fresh apples and lots of candles, and the alter with ivy from wal-mart I don't want pew flowers so all i need is my flowers and flowers for my girls '5 reg bridesmaids and 2 maids of honor' and some flowers for my cake, I want either a single flower for the bridesmaids and two for the mohs or just small bouquets, the wedding is in september and I have no idea what kind of flowers would work for my budget the florist i talked to in town 'a self important man i'm not going with' said a three rose bouquet without any greenry or anything would be 20 each and a dozen just tied together with string would be 75! he won't even quote be prices on any other flowers and would like to have an idea of if i'm dreaming here or if i can do this, if so what kind of flowers would be best thank you.

Those prices quoted to you by the florist were just nuts! I went with silk for my bouquet and some friends picked flowers from their backyard and made small bouquets for the bridesmaids (we had our wedding in Hawaii where orchids are plentiful). Nobody can tell from the pictures that my flowers were not real. I got most of them at Hobby Lobby or Walmart.



Roses will be in season in september. You could probaby also just buy the flowers from your local supermarket and put them together yourself.
Reply:You could easily buy some roses and make them up yourself on the day if it's just a single flower you are using, or go for gerberas they are cheap and look great on there own with the stem kept long, with say a ribbon tied around the stem. Calla lillies also look great as a single flower, especially in white.
Reply:Look for your local wholesale flower place, they supply flowers to florests. Also you could use silk flowers and make the boquets at your bridal shower as an activity. good luck

Reply:You can buy live roses from WalMart either a dozen or a half I think anyway can you make them yourself?Its not hard really.All you will need is some nice ribbon decide how many you want for each bouquet tie them together close up to the flower and let the ribbon dangle down some with a nice bow.Yes you can do this you can also add in artificial flowers whatever you like that seems to go with what you are trying to do.Just remember to keep them in a cool place out of sunlight until ready for use and get them the same day or day before and as fresh looking as you can fine.Congratulations !
