Lilacs in July or August?

I'm trying to set a wedding date. I would perfer to be married in the summer around July or August because that's when the weather is the nicest here and I want it to be outside under a tent but I must have lilacs in my wedding as they are by far my all time favourite flower. The blooming season of lilacs here in Ontario is only for like 2 weeks in May and the weather is way too unpredictible at that time to even consider having an outdoor wedding. Also, the blooming season always changes depending on the weather. Is there any kind of lilac that I could plant and have it bloom for July or August? Or is there anywhere online that I could buy them that late in the season or would a florist be able to get them from overseas suppliers or something?

I really hate to be the one to say it but I'm afraid you're out of luck. I know of no lilac that blooms that late. Even the late blooming ones only bloom 10 or so days later than the common ones. If you were to be able to find them available that late in the season (and I highly doubt it), they would probably be prohibitively expensive.
Reply:Japanese lilac bloom toward the end of June, and have a somewhat long season, but not into August.



I really doubt supplies could get them since it's so close to the normal bloomtime, but they don't grow far enough north.

A similar looking might be the Jacaranda I think that is summer flowering and Hydrangea
Reply:No lilacs bloom that late. Even if you purchased one, usually it takes a few years to bloom anyway

Reply:A florist is your only chance. They are a spring flower all over the country. Mine are in full bloom right now in NW PA.
